Rebozo is a Spanish word that means “shawl,” and represents the traditional scarf worn on the head and shoulders of women in Mexico.
The Mexican women were resourceful when discovering the rebozo to be a useful item in labour and pregnancy.
Mexican midwives traditionally use the rebozo to aid pregnancy and labour—and as a child carrier.
We use the Rebozo Shawl in exercises within the Body Balance Workshop as well as During the Appetence Active Birth Workshop
